Michael Rodriguez (born 1964, Miami Fl.) Graduated from Florida International University in 1989 (BFA Painting) and he graduated from Brooklyn College in 1992 (MFA Painting). He also attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture (summer 1992). He has exhibited his work internationally including solo exhibitions at Feature Inc, NY, Oliver Kamm 5B, NY, Galerie G-Module, Paris with an accompanying catalog with text by Barry Schwabsky and numerous group exhibitions including the Smart Museum of Art, Chicago, and White Columns, NY.
He is the recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant (2000), a New York Foundation for the Arts grant for painting (2002), and a Joan Mitchell Foundation grant in 2011. His work is also included in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, NY (Judith Rothschild Contemporary Drawings Collection). He lives and works in both New York City and Catskill, NY.
